Angels are oftentimes described as creatures of beauty.  In the book of Revelations, angels are the most perfect reflections of God’s greatness and glory. They are believed to have inseparable participation in His blessedness.

This beautiful woodwork of an angel holding a bouquet is reminiscent of the freshness and loveliness of nature.  Visions of a garden in full bloom with early morning mist and scents of blossoms and fresh grass are brought into consciousness by just the sight of the sculpture.

The angel is posed with her hand clutching the flowers near her heart.  This showcases her grace, as angels are popularly viewed as dainty and graceful beings.

This angel was carved from a local hardwood called baticulating.  Baticulating is yellowish white or loamy yellow wood that innately acquires good polish.  Expert craftsmanship is exhibited by the fine details of the angel’s wings and tresses.
